Four types of projects: 1) “Investment Banking” – prepare slides, pitchbooks, spreadsheets 2) Data analysis – statistics, modeling, data management 3) Programming, scripting, automating tasks in Excel 4) Sales and Marketing Projects will include research on performance of hedge fund strategies in various market cycles, portfolio construction, analysis of historical data, and market opportunity assessments. The hedge fund industry (particularly in Asia) rarely takes interns as hedge fund firms are typically small teams that require extensive experience. As our 4 business lines are: fund of hedge funds, hedge fund seeding, hedge fund platform, and business consulting, this is a rare opportunity for a highly motivated person to gain an accurate overview of the hedge fund industry as well as to gain critical insights into the due diligence process that underpins the selection, analysis and construction of a successful hedge fund portfolio. Looking for those who have: – a strong interest in finance, investment, asset management, and Asian financial markets – Language Skills: Fluency in Japanese, Mandarin, and/or other East Asian languages a plus – Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Excel and R is an advantage, but not a requirement
