Summer in Japan is a great timing for your internship abroad. It is the busiest season with many carreer opportunities open. Make sure to apply in advance to secure your spot and start making up your to-do list, because in summer there are plenty of things to do: business seminars and professional fairs, fireworks on weekends, language classes, traditional festivals and in 2020 there will also be the Olympics. It is very hot outside too, so prepare your “coolbiz” outfit.
The summer heat is over, but there are still many hot internship positions open. Autumn is the second most popular season to change the jobs or get a new job in Japan so there are many companies looking for new talent. Needless to say that autumn is the favorite season for many Japanese people as well for its mild weather, beautiful “momiji” leaves and various seasonal treats.
It is chilly outside, but you are warmly welcomed into your new internship experience. New Year holidays are over and Japan begins the year again with new projects, fresh ideas and strong new year motivation. On weekends interns enjoy snowboarding, Japanese hot springs “onsen”, hot coffee for lunch.
The Japanese school year and fiscal year start in April. It is the time when many graduates start their careers and go to work for the first time. It is also the time when people start new jobs, join new educational courses and enjoy the famous Cherry blossom (sakura). Spring is a good time for an internship abroad in Japan since many companies are looking for new professionals and motivated interns.
